On May 3, 2021, at approximately 0024 hours, officers were dispatched to a man down complaint at 651 Aberdeen Road. In the area of Building H in the parking lot, officers located Washington suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Washington was pronounced deceased by medics at 0038 hours. A black male was seen fleeing the scene and then an unknown type of vehicle was observed speeding away.
