About the Case:
On November 17, 2002, Henrico Police responded to a reported shooting which occurred at the Sandston Recreation Center located on J.B. Finley Road. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate any victims at the scene. It was later determined that two victims had been transported to an area hospital by unidentified persons. John Lajuane Humphrey was identified as one of the shooting victims from the scene and died at the hospital. The second victim, having also been shot at the scene, survived his injuries.
