About the Case:
Officers responded to 1401 E Brooklyn Park Boulevard on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Garrick Ellis, lying in the parking lot surrounded by a large crowd and Richmond Ambulance Authority and Richmond Fire Department personnel treating the victim. Officers established a perimeter and located the actual crime scene. The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died of his injuries at 2254 hours.
