About the Case:
On May 10, 1992, at about 8am, police responded to Greenfield Crescent for a report of a body in the road. The neighborhood was under development with no homes yet. Police located a deceased female, later identified as Dorothy (Earlene) Bess Wells in the cul-de-sac. Wells' head had been bludgeoned, rendering her face unrecognizable. She had recently left her husband. Evidence was collected and analyzed; dozens of interviews were completed.
