About the Case:
On January 30th, a resident was jogging at the Portsmouth campus of Tidewater Community College. The jogger was on a wooded trail and observed a body lying motionless in the woods. The jogger checked and found the body to be lifeless and immediately notified Campus security and Suffolk Police. The victim was identified as Paul G. Schachner Jr. of Norfolk. The victim had sustained head injuries and blunt force trauma about his body. The area where Schachner was found was semi-secluded and had limited vehicular access.
