About the Case:
Shortly before noon, Antonio Carl Boone a.k.a “Rome”, was walking on Respass Beach Road. An unknown male suspect was also walking on the opposite side of the road. A witness observed the suspect point a firearm at Boone; he then fell to the ground motionless. Motorists stopped to help only to find Boone deceased with a gunshot to his head. The suspect was last seen running through several yards and getting into a waiting dark colored vehicle. It was rumored that Boone was a victim of an ongoing “turf war” between the Burbage Grant and College Square neighborhoods.
