About the Case:
Around 5:30am, police responded to a home on Collier Crescent for a home invasion in progress. Occupants in the home heard a break-in and robbery occurring and called 911. A dispatch operator heard a single gunshot over the phone. Virginia Mae Hill, a retired Philadelphia police detective, was found with a gunshot wound and transported to Obici Hospital where she later died.
