About the Case:
On May 28, 1978 the bodies of Karen Lynn Noble and Jeffrey Lee Scott were discovered along Route 61, Wolf Creek Road, approximately .6 miles East of the Bland County line. A passerby was traveling through the area at about 11:45 p.m. when he observed a fire. As the passerby got closer he realized the fire was a Datsun pickup burning. After arriving at the scene two passersby found Jeff Scott in the bed of the pickup and removed him. A short time later Karen Noble was found laying face down in Wolf Creek. Autopsy revealed that both victims had been shot.
