About the Case:
The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking information into the disappearance of Robert Lee Hourihan. Hourihan was last seen on April 8, 2011, at the E.W. Thomas grocery store in Palmyra. He was wearing blue work pants, a grey work shirt, and brown boots. Hourihan was originally believed to have left his residence to go to work in Richmond, Virginia, at approximately 7:40 AM on the morning of the 8th. He left driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier displaying a Virginia vanity plate “TARAMAE.” The vehicle also bore a Winnie the Poo sticker in the rear window. It was later determined that he was instead set to meet an acquaintance in Palmyra. It has been reported that he never arrived at that meeting. On May 28, 2011, the vehicle was located, abandoned in the parking lot of a Target store in La Plata, Maryland. Investigators implore anyone in the public who may remember any facts about this case to contact the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office with that information.
