About the Case:
On August 8, 2005, at approximately 0237 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the parking lot of Pleasers Club located at 1261 N. King Street. Upon arrival, officers located Akin Joseph Omodara in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Omodara later died at the hospital. Omodara was the manager of the club. Omodara was walking in the parking lot carrying a bank bag. A witness saw a black male approach Omodara with a gun and demand the bank bag. After a brief struggle, Omodara was shot, and the offender ran off.
