On Saturday, November 1, 1997, Henrico Police responded to the Oakmeade Apartment complex on Airport Place between buildings 315 and 345 for a reported shooting. The victim, identified as Arturo Orlando Baxter, was transported to the hospital, and pronounced deceased on arrival. The victim was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for examination. The cause of death was determined to be from a gunshot wound.
