About the Case:
On Sept. 1, 2001, about 12:25 a.m., George Norrell was shot and killed in the 1000 block of Dove Street.
He was standing with his wife and another person when a vehicle approached the area and began firing at them. Norrell pushed his wife out of the way and was struck by a bullet. His wife and the other person were also struck. Norrell died as a result of the wound. His wife and the other person survived their wounds.
